Carmes de Rieussec 2014
Carmes de Rieussec 2014: The Liquid Elegance of Sauternes
The second wine of the prestigious Château Rieussec, this cuvée originates from the same exceptional parcels as the Grand Vin. Crafted in the Sauternes appellation, this Bordeaux nectar perpetuates the legacy of the Carmelite monks of Langon, historic owners of the estate in the 18th century.
A subtle blend of Sémillon (91%), Sauvignon Blanc (5%), and Muscadelle (4%) benefits from 18 months of barrel aging, imparting depth and complexity to this 2014 vintage.
Nose: Generous aromatic expression revealing honeyed and floral notes of acacia, enhanced by delicate woody touches.
Color: Luminous golden hue with amber highlights characteristic of great sweet wines.
Palate: Full-bodied and voluptuous texture offering a beautiful balance between freshness and smoothness, extended by a remarkably luscious finish.
