Château Rieussec 2010
Château Rieussec 2010: Sauternes Excellence in a Classic Vintage
From the exceptional terroir of the Sauternes appellation, this sweet wine originates from a 93-hectare vineyard planted on sandy-clay gravel soils at the junction of Fargues and Sauternes. The proximity of the Garonne and Ciron rivers creates optimal conditions for Botrytis Cinerea development.
The 2010 vintage is characterized by a dry, sunny summer following a rainy spring, promoting slow and uniform grape maturation. This blend dominated by Sémillon (92%), complemented by Sauvignon (5%) and Muscadelle (3%), benefited from parcel-by-parcel vinification in new barrels with 12 months aging on lees.
Nose: Intense floral expression accompanied by delicately integrated woody notes and remarkable aromatic vivacity.
Color: Deep hue with golden reflections.
Palate: Elegant freshness revealing beautiful complexity, subtle spice touches and exotic fruits, all carried by exceptional length.
